Privateers owner Nicole Kirnan speaking on the Privateers facebook page : "A few members of the team did not feel safe playing against Akwasasne given the recent injuries that have taken place during their games by ours and other teams. This left us very shorthanded, as not showing up for another team's game is not professional. In this business, you depend on your partners in the league to show up in order for a game to take place. Collectively as an organization, we are taking steps to rectify the situation in time for tomorrow's game. We will deal with the individuals and the situation in time for tomorrow's game. Thank you for your continual support of Privateers' hockey."
