We came close a few times but close only counts in horse shoes not hockey. Seems as if the time has come and we finally were able to lock up the Outlaws in Hanger #5 Brooklyn, NY.
First period action had the Aviator fans smelling a victory a last, could this be? C. Mignone #27RW started the attack for Brooklyn at 4:14 into the game, 1-0 Brooklyn. At 9:21 into the first L. Schott #10C scored to give Brooklyn a 2-0 lead. The fans were getting their hopes up for a victory over NJ in Hanger #5.
Still in the first period L.Schott #10C scored his second goal of the night. Seems like Danbury's loss was our gain with L. Schott #10C, Lucas has been playing great hockey since he has been with the Aviators. With the score 3-0 still in the first the Outlaws pulled A. Dekker #29G and D. McWninney #31G was sent in to do battle against Brooklyn.
The second score was by C. Watson #7C who found the back of the net for Brooklyn at the 11:17 mark of the second, 5-0 Brooklyn.
So far J. St. Pierre #38G was blocking everything the the Outlaws were able to throw at him. He did a great job on a breakaway by NJ, he dove head first into the action and saved a goal for Brooklyn. At this point it is 5-0 Aviators.
Third period saw the fans rocking and rolling with all the scoring done by their Brooklyn Aviators. B. Baumgartner #44C scored for Brooklyn with only 2:17 onto the period. Score is now Brooklyn 6 and the Outlaws 0. Could this be, such a game and a shut out too.
